A Word From Our Chairman

Welcome to the 15th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Society of Cardio-Vascular Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR 2020)! The Taiwan Society of Interventional Radiology (TSIR) is excited and honored to be hosting this year’s event for the first time. We are pleased to have 6 collaborating societies and over 150 faculty members from more than 20 countries around the world participating in this event.

This year’s meeting will take place at the magnificent Grand Hotel Taipei. Established in 1952 by Madam Chiang, Soong Mei-ling, the Grand Hotel is Taiwan’s first five-star hotel. The 14-storey palace-like building, with its vermilion columns, gilded tiles, and regal presence, is an embodiment of eastern aesthetics and one of Taipei’s representative landmarks. Located on Yuanshan, the Grand Hotel offers a great view of the prosperous city by day and an all-enveloping serenity at night.

The scientific program this year promises to be comprehensive and thought-provoking, with many exciting speakers presenting a number of fresh and innovative ideas. From our opening session on Extreme IR to our closing session on Mobility and Mortality, the three-and-a-half day program will challenge existing ideas and spark new ones, all in the spirit of this year’s motto, “The Art of Breaking Boundaries.”

With this spirit, I sincerely welcome you to celebrate the 15th Annual Scientific Meeting of APSCVIR with us.
